Lindsey Graham Asks Gorsuch: “What Would It Take to Impeach Trump”?

Are you kidding me?  What is wrong with this guy?

What a bizarre and frankly, stupid, question to ask.  What would it take to impeach President Trump?

First of all, Graham knows the answer.  Or he should.  And if he doesn’t, it’s time for him to retire and get the hell out of Congress!  In fact, he should do that anyway.

I have never liked Lindsey Graham, and this is just one more nail in the coffin.

Graham is not having a good day.  Earlier, he claimed that Justice Alito died last year.  Another truly stupid thing to say, since of course Justin Alito is still alive and well.

Here’s the report, from the Washington Examiner:

South Carolina Sen. Lindsey Graham on Tuesday questioned Supreme Court nominee Neil Gorsuch about what it would take to impeach President Trump.

The Republican senator used a portion of his time for questions at the Senate Judiciary Committee’s hearing to probe Gorsuch about the impeachment process.

“In case President Trump is watching, which he may very well be, one you did a good job picking Judge Gorsuch,” Graham said to laughs, “and number two—here’s the bad part—if you start waterboarding people, you may get impeached. Is that a fair summary?

“Senator, the impeachment power belongs to this body,” Gorsuch answered.

“That’s even better,” Graham replied. “Would he be subject to prosecution?”

“Senator, I’m not going to speculate,” Gorsuch said.

“But he’s not above the law,” Graham replied.

“No man is above the law,” Gorsuch said. “No man.”
