Chelsea Clinton: My Mom Unlikely to Run Again

My goodness, I would hope so!

#1, I couldn’t stand another campaign hearing from that woman. It grates on me!

#2, how much losing can one person sustain? Surely she wouldn’t risk another beatdown at the hands of Donald Trump’s second term!

Former secretary of state Hillary Clinton is doing “great,” but she is likely not planning on running for office again, according to her daughter Chelsea Clinton.

“I have no idea. I don’t think so,” Clinton said on CBS This Morning Tuesday when asked whether her mother was thinking about running again after her stunning election defeat in November. “I think right now she’s focused on her book. She’s focused — thankfully — on her grandchildren. She’s focused on what she can do help support work she’s been engaged in for longer than I’ve been alive around children, around women, around families. I’m just really grateful to have more time with her now than I’ve had in a long time.”

Clinton said that her mother is “great” and is spending a lot of time with her grandchildren, and that after her brief retreat from the public eye after the presidential election, she is staying busy giving speeches and looking for other ways to remain involved.

“She’s clearly looking to encourage many of, particularly the young people who are thinking about running for office, that they should keep thinking about that and throw their hats into the ring,” Clinton said of her mother. “She is trying to figure out what she can do to help support so many organizations like Planned Parenthood who are standing on the front lines to defend our fundamental rights. I am just really grateful that she’s out there doing that work, because I believe as strongly today as I did last year and the year before that about what we need to be doing to protect and advance progress.”
