Democrats frame every tax-reform and tax cut idea as being “for the rich.” Saying that your opponent only cares about rich people is a tired centuries-old tactic.
At least one Republican in the Senate has heard it enough.
When Brown tried to paint the new GOP/Trump tax bill (which cuts taxes for almost everybody) as “a giveaway to the rich,” Hatch flew off the handle.
Hatch nearly-shouted at Brown that the former had come from a poor neighborhood.
The Republican also said the goal of his entire career has been to help ordinary Americans, and that Trump-obstructionists like Brown are keeping the country from solving its problems.
Got to love the Fake News pundit at the end saying that Hatch blundered.
As far as conservatives are concerned, his only mistake would have been to keep silent.
