They say that our brave men and women in uniform often create incredibly strong bonds with those they serve with. Comradery is what it’s called, and it’s the result of shared hardship (deployments, combat and many other things for example).
That tight bond isn’t exclusive to humans though. Many soldiers have service animals at their side, which bravely follow them, even if that’s into the heart of a battlefield.

Bodza was one of those incredible animals. A beautiful German Shepherd, Bodza served along side his handler, Airman Kyle Smith, for ELEVEN YEARS! Here is his story…
