Did you watch any of the news channels at any time on Sunday?
If you did, you probably saw them all parroting the same message. “Trump is angry about Russia”, “Trump may be impeached”, “Trump has destroyed our system of checks and balances.”
Of course it’s all pure hogwash. Or “Fake News” as our President likes to call it. Or “total bullshit” as I like to call it. Take you pick.
The Crooked Media is trying to tell a story about Trump that just isn’t true. Bill Clinton fired his FBI Director. A viral video released earlier this week shows nearly every single democrat calling for Comey to be fired, only to do a complete 180 once Trump actually did it. They are a disgrace.
So it was great to see Trump’s Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson, do an interview this morning where he shot a big gaping hole into the Fake News narrative. He confirmed that he has a great working relationship with Trump, he has full independence, and they are working together to Make America Great Again. Tillerson-1, Fake News-0.
Here’s more of the story, from Politico:
Secretary of State Rex Tillerson said Saturday he is “not at all” concerned about the level of independence he has under President Donald Trump following the firing of FBI Director James Comey.
“I have a great relationship with the president. I understand what his objectives are,” Tillerson told NBC News’ “Meet the Press” in an interview to be broadcast Sunday. “When I’m not clear on what his objectives are, we talk about it. But I am devoted to helping the president achieve his objectives, helping him be successful.”
Comey was fired Tuesday. According to a POLITICO database, Tillerson has met with Trump 22 times.
Tillerson added that he understands he has “to earn his confidence every day with how I go about those affairs and how I go about conducting the State Department’s activities consistent with the direction he wants to take the country.”
