Trump Taunts Mueller to Release Final Report: “Let’s see whether or not it’s legit”

Robert Mueller’s special counsel has resulted in dozens of indictments and subsequent charges – none of which were within the counsel’s authorized scope of investigating “any links and/or coordination between the Russian government and individuals associated with the campaign of President Donald Trump.”

For all the headlines Mueller has generated, not a single one has been for uncovering a single instance of collusion between any member of the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Politico, NBC, TIME, and many others have published articles cautioning liberals for disappointment when Mueller finally releases his report, and for good reason. If there were any evidence damning to President Trump, surely we would know about it by now.

So flimsy will Mueller’s report be, that Trump is among those encouraging him to release it ASAP. According to the Associated Press:

President Donald Trump said he believes special counsel Robert Mueller’s report should be released to the public, even as he disparaged its very existence as “ridiculous.”
“Let it come out, let people see it,” Trump told reporters Wednesday. “Let’s see whether or not it’s legit.”

Trump said he was personally looking forward to reading the findings, even as he scorned the fact that Mueller was empowered to write the report in the first place.
“I just won one of the greatest elections of all time in the history of this country. … And now I have somebody writing a report that never got a vote?” Trump said. “It’s called the Mueller report. So explain that because my voters don’t get it. And I don’t get it.”

The Mueller report could be released as early as today – but don’t expect any bombshells. Two years and $25 million in taxpayer dollars later, Mueller has nothing.
