The Robert Mueller “Russia collusion” investigation can be boiled down to just a few words.
Donald Trump beat the Republican establishment, the Democratic establishment, and Hillary Clinton.
And somebody has to pay.
Unable to pin any serious crimes on any member of the Trump team (that have to do with the 2016 election, anyway) after a year of trying, Mueller has now turned his attention to GOP Representative Dana Rohrabacher.

Mueller is questioning witnesses about a September 2016 meeting between Trump’s former National Security Advisor Michael Flynn and Rohrabacher, looking for evidence of Rohrabacher “colluding with Russia.”
Rohrabacher has often argued for a more peaceful relationship between the U.S. and Russia.
More from Daily Caller:
It is not yet clear why Mueller is scrutinizing the meeting, though Rohrabacher has longstanding ties to the Kremlin and WikiLeaks, which U.S. defense officials have described as a hostile intelligence agency.
He has also had contact with Rinat Akhmetshin, one of the Russia-aligned lobbyists present at Donald Trump Jr.’s June 2016 meeting with Russian political operatives at Trump Tower in New York.
The Daily Caller first reported that the congressman recently tried to broker a deal between Assange and the Department of Justice, under which Assange would surrender data exonerating Russia of involvement in the 2016 hack of the Democratic National Committee.
Rohrabacher met with Assange at the Ecuadorian embassy in London in August.
Federal prosecutors have not indicted Assange for any crimes, but the Justice Department has long sought to bring a case against him for his role in facilitating the release of hundreds of thousands of sensitive intelligence documents via Chelsea Manning.
Mueller and his team of pro-Clinton lawyers can persecute whoever they want, but one thing they can’t do is remove Donald Trump from the White House…or change the results of November 2016.
