It seems like every time “courts” and Trump are mentioned in the same sentence, these days, the outcome is likely to be a negative one for the President. However, last Friday, President Trump and his administration were given some welcome news from the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals.
Appeals court rules Trump’s “Remain in Mexico” policy can proceed for now — days after a federal judge said it violates U.S. law https://t.co/jnBKS9mqfH pic.twitter.com/8dPeZSngiR

Fox Business’ Lou Dobbs is exactly right to say this:

The idea that individuals who haven’t been proven to be eligible for asylum would be granted entry to the United States is ludicrous. President Trump and Republicans are the only ones attempting to put their finger in the dam’s leaks.
Democrats want true open borders, so of course they don’t care who is granted entry to America for whatever reason. President Trump and his administration need to keep their foot on the gas pedal and continue to fight against immigration loopholes.
CBS News had coverage on the Court’s decision:
“Washington — The Trump administration is resuming its controversial ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy requiring certain non-Mexican migrants who claim asylum at ports of entry along the southern border to wait in Mexico while their cases are processed in the U.S., a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) spokesperson told CBS News Tuesday.
The administration had halted the policy, officially known as the ‘Migrant Protection Protocols,’ for a few days after a federal judge blocked the government from implementing it. On Friday, however, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals granted the government’s emergency motion to stay the lower court’s ruling, allowing the administration to resume the practice.”
Surprise, surprise, by the way, the judge who initially blocked the Trump administration’s “remain in Mexico” policy was from none other than California. CBS News also covered the original story, highlighting the judge and his decision:
“A federal judge issued an order temporarily blocking the Trump administration from implementing and expanding its ‘Remain in Mexico’ policy, which requires certain non-Mexican migrants who claim asylum at ports of entry along the border to wait in Mexico while their requests are processed.
In his order, which takes effect Friday afternoon, U.S. District Judge Richard Seeborg in the Northern District of California said the plaintiffs, a group of immigrant rights groups and asylum seekers, ‘met their burden’ to block the policy on the grounds that ‘it lacks sufficient protections against aliens being returned to places where they face undue risk to their lives or freedom.'”
What this judge and Democrats do not understand is that no person has a right to enter the United States. Individuals do not get to just show up and answer questions later.
If the system is such that people await a decision and all the while are receiving U.S. taxpayer-funded assistance, then the American people are being taken advantage of. The Trump administration is sending a clear message that that is not how it is going to be.
Here is former U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Kirstjen Nielsen explaining exactly what the “remain in Mexico” policy accomplishes.
