Put “Trump Approval Rating” in a Google search and you will see story after story about how 45’s rating is tanking. That goes for any day you search.
Actually, President Trump’s approval numbers are ticking up. Fake News journalists use clever word-play, statistical quirks and just the *right* kind of polls to make their headlines plausible.

But that doesn’t mean Trump’s successes with defeating ISIS, boosting the economy, and lowering taxes aren’t resonating with the people. Three very important, accurate polls show Trump trending upward.
One is The Economist’s tracker, which polls all voters. Trump is about 5% in his approval ratio there as of new data released Wednesday, with 43% approval and only 53% disapproval.
In Rasmussen’s polls of LIKELY voters, the POTUS has been doing better all along. He jumped up to 45/53 there Wednesday, to a gap of only (-8).
In other words, even going by guess-work of polling the “electorate,” Trump is gaining slowly but surely.
Less voters disapproving is also a very big deal. If roughly half the public is willing to consider voting for the President in 2020, just think of his advantage with highly-energized voters in swing states when paired against a fractured and confused Democratic Party.
